Well the well oiled machine that was team Grant Thornton has finally broken down. Three off days and worse of all an injury to Oakley, one of the LO1's in the team. He could still be injured for Criterium Lyon coming up soon and should be back for the Lappi Sea GP Classic but the biggest problem is that he has lost the 5 days of DP gain before the 2 races in 3 days. And since the injury, the rest of the team his being housed in individual blow up bubbles to reduce the risk to anyone else. With this team as with other in OCM injuries tend to come in bunches and at this critical point of the season it could devastate the team. The manager was quoted saying that this was EXTREMELY unlucky. He understands that racing can cause injuries but with the health of the team the risk here should have been less than 1%. Has the form of this team finally gone?

Oakley had a 81DP starting the race and according to the manual that is less than 1% chance of injury. How unlucky can I be???
